Help! I need to get back to New Delhi!

  • Hi, guys! Sorry I haven't been able to write for awhile. You remember last time when I said I was going to the fish market to see if they'd give me some of their fish? Well, that was a BIG mistake! They caught me looking at their fish -- well, okay, maybe I was licking it a little bit -- and they chased me with a big stick. I had to get into the back of a funny looking vehicle to hide and then it started moving and I was so scared that I crawled into a bag that was on the floor to hide. I could feel the bumps in the road as we rode along, but I couldn't see where we were going and I don't know what happened, but the car stopped and somebody picked up the bag and next thing you know I was on a big boat out in the water. I HATE water and I was so scared. They finally pulled the boat in to land and I climbed onto this big skid that this man was hauling in to the shore. My treadmill is still back in New Dehli and I have to figure out how to get back there so I can try to go home. If you know where I am please tell me. Uncle Jason sent us pictures like this. Maybe he knows where I am. Can you ask him?

Can You Tell Me Where I Am?

Hey, I went outside and this is what I can see. I heard someone call that building the Taj Mahal. If you can find out what country the Taj Mahal is in, I will know where I landed at.

Meanwhile, I saw a man with a big tray of fish down the street. They looked really good and I am SO hungry. I think I might go down there and see if he'll give me some while I wait for your answer.

Where Am I?

Hey - I've landed somewhere. I'm not really sure where I am. It doesn't look like any of the pictures I saw of Katmandu. I must have mixed up the coordinates. Oh, no! I think I'm lost.

Uncle Jason's Fire

As my treadmill was flying over what I think was California yesterday I saw some really bad fires. I think it was near where your Uncle Jason lives. (That's me up where you see the lights in the sky.) I saw helicopters and airplanes dropping big buckets of water and other things on the fire to make it stop. I had a few bottles of water with me, so I poured those out onto the flames. I think it helped. The fire seems to be a lot better now. Don't forget to keep praying for Uncle Jason, though.
I should be in Katmandu soon. I'll let you know as soon as I get there.

Blast Off!

OK, it took me some time, but I finally got the coordinates programmed into the treadmill. You sent two different sets and I wasn't sure what you meant, so I combined them. I don't think it will hurt anything. Now, all that's left is to get my helmet on and push the button . . . .

Woooah . . . . .Here we gooooooooo . . . . . . .

While I'm Waiting . . .

While I'm waiting for you to get me those coordinates I think I'll take a nap in this basket of clean laundry. I don't think my human will mind, do you? Gotta get rested up for the big trip!

I Need Your Help

I need your help! I have to find the latitude and longitude coordinates for Katmandu so that I can program the treadmill to go there. It's the information that tells you exactly where a certain place is on the Earth. If you have a globe you can see the lines going across the globe and the lines that go up and down on the globe - those are latitude and longitude lines and they help you to find the place that you're going to -- like a treasure map -- so many lines this way and so many lines that way and you're there. This is hard - that's why I can't do it myself. You may need to get your dad and mom to help you. I think there is a website that you can go to to find out, it is at http://www.infoplease.com/atlas/latitude-longitude.html. Then I think you just type in Katmandu, Nepal in the box and it will tell you the coordinates. If you can let me know what they are it will help me alot! Thanks!

I Know Where I'm Going!

I've found it! The perfect place to go! Right above a place called "India" on this map is a place called "Nepal". You humans have weird names for your places. Anyway -- In this place called Nepal is a town called "Katmandu" -- Cat-man-do - perfect! I can't wait to get there and see all the cat men! I'm going to go finish getting ready for the trip now. I have a few more things to do and I'll be ready to go.

Getting Packed for the Trip

Wow! I've been really busy getting my stuff together for the trip, so I'm just now getting back to the computer to let you know what's going on. I've got my water dish, my cat food, my tartar control treats, my feather ball toy, and my purple catnip mouse. Mousy doesn't like the purple mouse toy much. I don't know why.

Now if I can just make enough room for the chicken, the ham, and the fish I'll be all set.

I need to find a helmet, too. I read on the internet that if you ride on a fast moving vehicle like a bicycle or a skateboard that you need to wear a helmet. I have a feeling the treadmill will go pretty fast once we get started. I'm so excited! I can't wait to see the world!

Oh, boy! There's all kinds of good things in my human's fridge. I'm trying to decide what food to take with me on the trip. Mmmmm - there's chicken, turkey, bacon, and there's cheese for mousy, too. There's milk to drink, but my human drinks soy milk - yuck! I think I'll leave that here for her. What do you think would be good food to pack for a trip?

Where Should I Go?

I'm pretty sure that you guys don't know what you're talking about. I just KNOW the treadmill will take me on a trip if I can just figure out the right buttons to push. I'm so excited! I've never been on a trip before. Mousy and I are looking at the globe to decide where we want to go! What do you think would be a fun place?

Working Out

This thing belongs to my human. She calls it a treadmill, and she pushes buttons and makes it move, then she walks and walks, but she never goes anywhere. I think she doesn't know the right buttons to push. She told me never to get on it because it could be dangerous. I think if I can figure out the right buttons to push I could make it take me on a real trip somewhere outside of this apartment! I've never been outside the apartment before - except for the time I got lost and went into the neighbor's apartment. I've got Mousy with me. Do you see him in back of me? I'm going to figure out how to make this thing work and Mousy and I are going to take a trip.

Hello to James and Josiah!

Hey James and Josiah! I just read your comments on my last post. So, you help your family by cleaning your room and the basement? That sounds like hard work. You both must be very strong and I'll bet your mom and dad are very proud of you! I know your Grandma is proud of you. She's my human and I hear her talk about you a lot - especially when she talks to Gigi. Oops! I hear my human coming in the front door now! Better go . . . Next time you write, tell me what you learned in home school today!

Chores

I have lots of chores to do every day. I wanted to help my human, so I thought I would surprise her by licking the water off these dishes in the dishwasher. She didn't seem very happy, but I don't know why.
Do you have chores that you do to help your family?

Tuna and Treats

That's what I'm having for breakfast today. My human says I need a good breakfast to start the day right. I agree, but I wish the mouse was real. That would make this a REALLY good breakfast!

What did you have for breakfast today?

Send Food!

Hi! Frito here. My human left the computer on when she left the house today. She communicates with the outside humans on it. I think if I step on the right keys I can communicate with the outside, too! Let me know if you can see my message. Maybe you can send me some fish - or a mouse!
